Fllock is a flight ticket booking application designed with minimalist principles in mind. The clean and intuitive layout enables users to effortlessly search for flights, explore options, and complete bookings seamlessly. The application prioritizes functionality while maintaining a modern aesthetic, ensuring that users can complete their bookings quickly and efficiently.
The Problem
While numerous flight booking apps offer a wide array of features, many can feel cluttered and overwhelming to users. Fllock aims to simplify the flight booking process by providing a minimalist and streamlined approach, allowing users to book tickets quickly and efficiently without unnecessary distractions.
The Goal
The goal of Fllock is to revolutionize the flight booking experience by offering a minimalist and user-friendly platform that simplifies the process of searching for and purchasing flight tickets. We aim to eliminate unnecessary complexity, allowing users to effortlessly navigate through options and complete their bookings in just a few simple steps. Our focus is on enhancing user satisfaction through an intuitive design that prioritizes efficiency and clarity.

- The blue color symbolizes trust, authority, and loyalty, and provides calmness. These were our main reasons to pick blue as the brand color.
- The font used is Sans-Serif which is readable, builds authority, and is accessible.

Takeaway
This was my first comprehensive UI project, where I gained valuable skills in building sitemaps, applying color psychology in design, and creating wireframes using UI kits. I collaborated closely with project managers and the development team to bring the designs to life, making it a highly rewarding and collaborative experience.
Next Steps
This application currently has limited functionality and would benefit from additional features to meet the full requirements of a functional flight booking app.
- It only shows airport codes so it’s hard to tell the location if someone doesn’t know the airport code.
- The app doesn’t provide flight layover details on the search results page.
- Users can only checkout through credit cards; there are no other options.
- It provides a ticket cancellation option but doesn't provide details for the process.
